About Ichangu Narayan
Ichangu Narayan is one of the valleys most important Hindu god Vishnu shrines situated at 3 km northwest of Swayambhunath. This two-storey, 18th century temple is fronted by two square stone pillars bearing Vishnu's symbols, a conch and a disc atop a tortoise.

About Swoyambhunath
Swoyambhunath popularly known as the 'Monkey Temple' is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu valley. It is probably the most sacred among Buddhist pilgrimage sites, for Tibetans and followers of Tibetan Buddhism , its second only to Boudhanath.The Swoyambhunath complex consists of a stupa, a variety of shrines and temples. The main access points to the stupa is a long stairway, claimed to have 365 steps, leading directly to the main platform of the temple.
