Peak Climbing in Nepal - Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli)

General Information

Tent peak or Tharpu Chuli is one of the trekking peaks situated at the heart of Annapurna sanctuary. The peak can be approached from several routes such as North-West Ridge, South-East Ridge and South-West Face. Despite its low magnitude, one can view the magnificent panorama of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Annapurna V, Machhapuchhare. Hiunchuli, Singu Chuli and Gangapurna from Tent peak(Tharpu Chuli).

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Guided tour in Kathmandu and preparation for trek (B)
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (B)
Day 04: Drive from Pokhara (815m) to Nayapul (1050m.) and begin your trek from Nayapul to Tikhedhunga (1577m). 4 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 05: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2850m.)  6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 06: Ghorepani to ascent Poon Hill (3210m.) early in the morning for Panoramic view of Mountain Range and for Sunrise after back to Ghorepani having breakfast and then proceed to Tadapani (2650m.)  6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 07: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2050 m.)  6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 08: Chhomrong to Dovan (2630m.)  6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 09: Dovan to Deurali (3200m.) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 10: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m.) 5 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 11: Annapurna Base Camp to Tent Peak Base Camp (4800m.)  4 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 12: Tent Peak Base Camp to High Camp (5200m.)  5 hrs
Day 13: Rest at Tent Peak High Camp. This is an acclimatization day for the preparation of Tent Peak summit.
Day 14: Summit the Tent peak (Tharpu Chuli) and back to high camp.
Day 15: Extra day incase of bad weather.
Day 16: High Camp to Annapurna Base Camp 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 17: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2430m.)  6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 18: Bamboo to Jhinudanda (1650m.) Hot Spring 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 19: Trek from Jhinudanda to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara. (B.L)
Day 20: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist coach. (B)
Day 21: Final departure to Airport (B)

Cost Include

  • Airport pickup and drop off by our private vehicle
  • Katmandu/ Pokhara hotel on twin sharing bb basis
  • Tent peak climbing permit, ACAP fees
  • Camping equipments
  • Three meals a day during trekking breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Necessity climbing guide and porters.

  • All expenses for Nepalese staffs, their insurance and salary.
  • We provide you accommodation and food in the lodges and rest in the tented camps.

  • Personal equipments for climbing or trekking
  • Climbing food and personal equipment Sleeping bags and down jackets
  • Emergency rescue with helicopter, in case there will be a need
  • Tips to the staffs Alcoholic drinks and water, cokes etc
