General Information
Dhaulagiri French Pass trek is one of the most challenging trekking routes and is a classic trekking holiday for those with previous high altitude trekking experience, which include a taste of all the trekking environments that Nepal has to offer. You walk through the semi-tropical thick with ferns and forests through hillsides ablaze with rhododendron into the alpine wilderness of snowcapped peaks and glaciers. Much of the route is on snow and glacier as it crosses French Pass and traverses the head of Hidden Valley to cross Thapa Pass.
Trip Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Full day Sight-Seeing of Kathmandu Valley. (B)
Day 03: 9 hrs Drive to Beni tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 04: Beni - Babichoaur (950m) 5 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 05: Babichoaur - Phedi (1100m) 4 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 06: Phedi - Phalai Gaun (1810m) 6 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 07: Phalai Gaun - Below Jugapani 5 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 08: Below Jugapani - Boghara (2080m) 5 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 09: Boghara - Lapche kharka - 4 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 10: Lapche kharka - Chartare (2820m) 4 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 11: Chartare - Pakoban (3585m) 5 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 12: Pakoban-Dhaulagiri Base camp (4750m) 6 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 13: Dhaulagiri Basecamp - French pass (5360m) 3 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 14: Walk five hours form French pass and camp on 4915m. Tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 15: Crossing 4915m pass - Yak kharka (4500m) 5 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 16: Yak kharka - Marpha (2667m) 6 hrs tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 17: Marpha rest day (B.L.D)
Day 18: Marpha - Lete (2438m) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 19: Lete - Tatopani (1189m) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 20: Tatopani - Ghorepani (2853m) 8 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 21: Ghorepani - Tadapani (2665m) 6 hrs (B.L.D)
Day 22: Tadapani - Ghandruk (1951m) 3 hrs. (B.L.D)
Day 23: Ghandruk - Birethati and drive to Pokhara 5 hrs (B.L)
Day 24: Pokhara - Kathmandu 7 hrs by bus (B)
Day 25: Final depart to your country (B)
