Bandipur (1030m) is a hilltop settlement 143 km to the west of Kathmandu and only 80 km to the east of Pokhara. It is settled by a variety of Nepal ethnicities with different beliefs such as the Bahuns, Chhetris, Newars, Magars, Gurungs, Kamis, etc. Hence, you get the opportunity to gain the rich cultural experience of different ethnic groups of the Himalayan Kingdom. It is equally renowned for the spectacular views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang, view of the Marshyangdi valley and Gorkha with its high perching palace.
