Jungle Safari in Nepal - Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve

General Information

Established in 1987, Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is the only hunting reserve in Himalayan Kingdom. It covers an area of 1,325 km per square in the Dhaulagiri Himal of Western Nepal. The hunting reserve is the only area with licensed hunting permit. The main attractions for hunters is the blue sheep, pheasant and partridge. Other animals found here are leopard ghoral, serow, Himalayan Tahr, Himalayan Black bear, barking deer, wild boar, rhesus macaque, langur, mouse hare and the endangered animals such as musk deer, wolf, red panda and daphne (national bird of Nepal).

The higher elevations of the Dhorpatan hunting reserve remain snow-capped throughout the year, which adds to the beauty of the reserve.

Day 08: Burtibang to Dowal Phedi tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 09: Dowal Phedi to Dhorpatan tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 10: Rest and Animal Spotting and explore the area tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 11: Dhorpatan to Jaljala tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 12: Jaljala to Maraeni tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 13: Maraeni to Darbang tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 14: Darbang to Beni (B.L.D)
Day 15: Beni to Kathmandu by drive. (B)
Day 16: Final depart to your destination (B)
