Dudh Pokhari Trekking

General Information

Dudh pokhari that means milky lake is claimed to be situated at an altitude of 4560 meters above the sea level. Dudh Pokhari (milky lake) rich in Culture, Nature, and has a good geographical importance and other attractions like snow peaked mountain and natural beauties. Khaling Rai's who have their own language are dominant class of this area; besides Gurung communities are also in existence. According to legends, some three thousand years back the Tamu community now known as Gurung entered this area through Namun Bhanjyang from Tibet & settled there. Tamu community had their own king in the ancient days whose palace can be seen until now; therefore, this place is also known as Tamuwan.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 02: Full day guided sightseeing around of the Kathmandu valley. (B)
Day 03: Drive to Besishar to Kapoor gaon. Walk to Ghale gaon(2016m) (B, L, D)
Day 04: Ghlegaon to Rabrachu (3100m) 6 hrs tented camp. (B, L, D)
Day 05: Rabrachu to Thorju. (4500m) 7 hrs tented camp (B, L, D)
Day 06: Acclimatization Day at Torju (4500m) tented camp (B, L, D)
Day 07: Torju to Dafe kharka (4000m) cross Namun la pass (5560m) 6 hrs tented camp (B, L, D)
Day 08: Dafe kharka to Dharapani (1860m) 6 hrs tented camp (B, L, D)
Day 09: Dharapani to Syange (1100m) 6 hrs tented camp (B, L, D)
Day 10: Syange to Besisahar (823m) 6 hrs tented camp (B, L, D)
Day 11: 6 hrs Drive back to Kathamandu (B)
Day 12: Free day to explore, and enjoy Kathmandu. (B)
Day 13: Final departure to your country (B)

Cost Include

  • Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu by tourist coach
  • Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu hotel accommodation with bed and breakfast basis
